Composite door security

Having composite doors gives an added layer of security, as the doors usually include a steel frame or a solid wood panel, in addition to the uPVC exterior. This makes for a more robust door overall, with exceptional resistance to physical breakage. The locking mechanism has a robust foundation as well, for added security.

FAQs

How do composite and uPVC doors differ?

uPVC doors are made from un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride and composite doors are usually made from a combination of timber, a steel frame, and a foam core. This provides higher levels of security and insulation, but is more costly to assemble and manufacture. The decision about which to choose is up to yourself and depending on the needs of your property of course.

Which areas do you work in?

We install composite doors across the local area of Beds, Herts and Bucks, as well as Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

Do composite doors offer a more appealing look than uPVC doors?

On the whole, composite doors offer a superior finish compared to uPVC doors. Composite doors are made from better quality materials.

Are composite doors superior to uPVC doors?

This depends on your view point, but most people prefer how they look. Composite doors come in a wide range of styles, and they also have a higher energy efficiency rating compared to uPVC doors. They do however cost a little more, so it is worth considering if it is worth the extra investment.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We offer a 10-year guarantee on every composite door, so you can feel confident in your investment.
